HWEnergy expands district heating expertise
Following a recent tender win, HWEnergy is now providing biomass fuel, operation, maintenance and repair of the biomass energy centre plant and district heating networks at three Cube Housing Association sites in the Glasgow area. The above services are included under our ‘Heat Supply’ agreement and are charged for on a kWh basis as measured by the biomass boilers’ heat meters. HWEnergy is also responsible for the inspection and reactive maintenance of in-dwelling heating systems, including HIUs and radiators, and provide metering and billing services.
The addition of Cube Housing’s estates at Broomhill, Gorget and Collina to the district heating schemes we look after for a range of clients including West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative, Castlehill Housing Association, Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association and others mean that HWEnergy is now responsible for operating around a quarter of the total district heating capacity in Scotland.
Our expertise in managing large district heating schemes is growing fast. We can also undertake feasibility and design work for new district heat networks and are happy to assist existing and potential clients in scoping new projects. Please contact us if you would like to discuss in more depth.
