The Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) announced this week that the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) small biomass and medium biomass tariffs will be reduced by 5% and 10% respectively for installations accredited on or after 1st July 2017. The BEIS quarterly forecasts for estimated committed RHI expenditure can be found here.
The bigger picture for the RHI is that we still anticipate that reforms will be introduced within the coming months (as outlined in our previous updates). This current announcement will therefore affect people who commission biomass systems between July 1st and the date the wider reforms go live.
