Grants and Incentives for Business
We can help you to access the most effective grant and financial support methods for your biomass project. We have provided some general information below but your specific circumstances are best discussed with us.
Traditionally, projects in the Farms and Estate Sector have either proceeded without grant funding or applied for support for a capital grant. The proposed Renewable Heat Incentive will change this approach significantly.
Renewable Heat Incentive
From April 2011 it is proposed that a Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will be established which will provide a 20 year revenue payment to customers who introduce a biomass heating system. This incentive will apply to any installations completed after July 2009. The RHI will become the main method of supporting renewable heating systems and it is likely to replace all grant funding programmes used until now.
The RHI will prove extremely finanically attractive and will particularly mean that "heat supply" & ESCO project become more financially viable. HWEnergy have the appropriate accreditations to ensure that your project will be eligible for the RHI and we can advise you on what this significant development will mean for you. Please contact us to discuss further.
Interest Free Loans
Both the Carbon Trust (UK wide) and the Energy Saving Trust (Scotland) offer interest free loans to encourage the uptake of biomass heating. Having helped customers access both these loan schemes HWE are now a recognised Carbon Trust Interest Free Loan Partner.
Enhanced Capital Allowances
For businesses the installation of biomass heating equipment can be eligibile for Enhanced Capital Allowances which can offer significant taxation advantages. Contact us to discuss how this can apply to your project.
