The HWEnergy Projects Team have successfully completed works to replace the pipe-work infrastructure for an underground heat network, providing heating to over 450 apartments in Paisley for Renfrewshire Council.
The apartment heating is supplied by a single energy centre, comprising of 2 x 500kW biomass boilers. The energy scheme is operated by our Service and Heat Supply Team under a “Heat Supply Agreement”.
The original British Gas installation saw a programme of energy improvements including insulation cladding and the installation of a new heating system for each of the tenants, completed with controllable and metered heat.
Our heat network replacement project saw the overhaul of the original scheme underground pipe-work with more efficient, pre-insulated pipework and was completed in line with the short-term project programme that was completed with minimal disruption to the tenants.
