How we can work with you
Design, build, installation and ongoing service of wood fuelled heating systems
We have been specialising in biomass services for farms and rural estates since 2003 so have extensive experience in all types of projects. We have installed biomass heating in stables conversions, agricultural sheds, grain dryers, farmhouses, country houses, cottages, leisure facilities and holiday accommodation.
We are one of the few biomass companies to have our own in house Design Engineering team. Our Projects and Civils teams are also in house. That means we have full control; you have full accountability and one point of contact which makes a big difference when it comes to smooth delivery of a project. Our biomass energy services for farms and rural estates include:
Wood fuel supply (wood chip and wood pellet)
If you don’t have your own wood or want to get up and up and running first, we have an extensive network of wood chip and wood pellet fuel suppliers around the country who work to our strict quality control standards and who we manage on your behalf. We believe in staying local so that transport miles are kept to a minimum and response times are guaranteed. If you want to set up as a wood fuel provider we can help you with advice and put you in touch with others who have already done so.
Biomass boiler and system service and maintenance
We are not just biomass boiler suppliers. Our Service and Maintenance team is one of the largest in the sector and crucially, they only work in wood fuel heating and CHP which means they have extensive expertise in all aspects of biomass boilers and fuel delivery systems. Engineers are based regionally meaning quick response times and they are supported by our head office team who can monitor boiler performance remotely 24 hours a day. As well as servicing systems for our own clients we also take on contracts for biomass boilers and systems installed by others.
Comprehensive ‘Biomass Heat supply’ contract
Our Heat Supply contract is becoming increasingly popular and is made possible through our comprehensive network of fuel supply partners and our engineers based throughout the country. Essentially a Biomass Heat Supply contract means we take care of every aspect of your biomass system, from fuel, to regular monitoring and servicing to RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) reporting, saving you time and money in managing the system yourselves. We charge on an agreed amount per kWh of heat provided and we support this with performance guarantees so that you have complete peace of mind. That means you can carry on your everyday business without having to worry about managing your heat and hot water supply.
RHI Service Plan
If you don’t need fully comprehensive support then our equivalent for rural premises is our RHI Boiler Service Plan. We take care of your RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) applications and ongoing reporting and carry out a detailed service programme to keep your biomass boiler in premium condition.
We complete non-domestic RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) applications on behalf of all our clients and can also do so for businesses who have used other biomass boiler installers. We have an excellent track record in this area and can advise you on how best to meet the stipulations and requirements of the scheme.
Finance and ESCO options
Payback periods for commercial wood fuel installations are frequently between 5 & 7 years but will vary from project to project. A number of companies provide capital loans for biomass and we can provide details of those that do. Another option is to work with HWEnergy on an ESCO (Energy Savings Company) basis. An ESCO means you don’t have any capital expenditure and we fund the entire project. You receive the benefits of cost and carbon savings against existing fuel but not the RHI payments . These stay linked to the equipment which remains the property of HWEnergy. We can provide an analysis of the financial picture for both options.
