The Scottish Government published its future Energy Strategy in January, mapping out its vision for the future energy system in Scotland for the period to 2050. It tries to achieve an integrated system-wide approach that considers both the use and the supply of energy for heat, power and transport.
Specifically for heat, it sets some ambitious targets for renewable heat, energy efficiency and for district heating. The consultation for the overall strategy runs until 30th May and there will be various ways to contribute. There are some events planned for the District Heating Consultation in March so if you have any strong views on the district heating element please contact us to discuss and we can make sure these are fed into the policy discussion.
The overall strategy and consultation can be found here.
