SFHA Energy Exchange 2017
Thurs 20th April, The Lighthouse, Glasgow
HWEnergy are pleased to have renewed our commercial associate membership of the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) for 2017/18 and will be exhibiting at the upcoming SFHA Energy Efficiency Exchange this Thursday the 20th April at The Lighthouse in the heart of Glasgow.
The 4th Annual SFHA Energy Exchange conference comes at a time when energy efficiency and fuel poverty have never been higher up the agenda for housing associations, who are working towards meeting the Energy Efficiency Standards for Social Housing. Fuel poverty continues to be a significant concern, in spite of significant investment to improve housing association homes. Meanwhile the Scottish Government is about to consult on a national energy strategy and on a long term strategy to bring all of Scotland’s homes up to a good energy standard within 15 years.
Delegates at the event will hear from:
- The Scottish Government on its plans for a national energy efficiency programme and about its interim review of EESSH
- Examples of the benefits of advice for tenants, including projects supported by SFHA and SGN
- Advice on developing a Fuel Poverty Strategy from EAS, who are developing a fuel poverty tool kit for housing associations
- Procurement of Energy Efficency
HWEnergy has considerable experience providing biomass district heating solutions within the social housing sector for organisations such as Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association, Castlehill Housing Association West Whitlawburn Housing Co-operative and Cube Housing Association.
